About Me
Hola
My name is Robert Brown and I am 34 years old. I live in the United States but consider myself to be a citizen of the world. I love to travel. Growing up in Jacksonville, Florida, most of my vacations consisted of going to timeshares down in Orlando. In fact, I didn't actually travel outside of the United States until I joined the Army after finishing up college. I went to college at Florida International University in Miami, FL. Although I originally went there to get a Criminal Justice degree, watching the 2010 World Cup inspired me to learn more about the world. I went on to obtain a BS in Criminal Justice and a BA in International Relations in 2012. I followed that up with a MA in International Relations from Webster University in St, Louis MO in 2017. Despite having the requisite education, my goal has always been to get first hand experience of other cultures which is why I travel as much as I can. There are about 180 countries in the world which I consider to be visitable and my goal is to go to as many of them as I can in the course of my life.
I originally meant to start a basic blog to track my travel through the Dominican Republic, but it grew into this website which holds insight from every country I have visited thus far. Outside of preserving my own memories, I hope to inspire others through my experiences to get out of their comfort zone. As you go through this website, I also encourage you to draw on my lessons and experiences to make your own trips more exciting and affordable.
