Estadio Azteca (Mexico City, Mexico)

Soccer is a huge part of Mexican culture. The disappointment of missing my flight was offset by the opportunity to see Mexico play Costa Rica in a qualifying match for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in the world famous Estadio Azteca. The stadium was packed from start to finish with passionate fans cheering and singing. Although Mexico would go onto win the game 2-0, both teams eventually qualified for the 2018 World Cup.
